You may notice the concentration of intricate detail, as seemingly insignificant as sparkling, golden ochre, pebbles beneath the flow of a quiet brook as their geological ancestors still grace the sky’s space as peaked silhouettes, a symbol of a path through time. With the flowing movement of broader strokes, we are reminded of a grander scale, as it’s all put together, often en plein air painting. When plein air is not possible, considering the size and detail involve with many works, Rhea enjoys the excursions to fascinating locations, capturing composition, light, atmosphere and details with her own photography, from both 35mm (still a favorite with her 25 year old Canon) and a handy digital.
